From as far I can remember I has always been my ambition to become a pilot.
My first flight was when I was 5, I was bring up there with my father and a friend of his for the first time. Even if that was a long time ago, I can still remember how exhilarate I was. I felt totally at home.
I flew the aircraft for what seemed hours, it was like an endless day. I can remember my father's face as I looked at him and said: Dad, I'm flying. I'm flying a plane.
From those sensations, my whole life revolved around aircraft. It was all I lived for.
Later, in secondary school, I spent my all weekends flying radio-controlled gliders and airplanes with friends.
Finally I was selected by the Air Force to train as a pilot and that was the best day of my life. My family was so proud of me because after all these years, my dream had come true.
After 21 years in the Air Force, which were fantastic, filled with knowledge and human connection. I learned so much. And now I can dedicate those to my First new civilian Airline, Air Madagascar.
